The Great American Campout

Coming up on Saturday, June 22: join us at Angel Mounds for the Great American Campout!

Have you always wanted to camp on the grounds of Angel Mounds? Now is your chance! Join us for the Great American Campout. Set up your tents and sleeping bags and make dinner over a campfire. Once you are fueled up, join our staff for a night hike. Or if you are feeling brave, tell scary stories around the campfire! After your hike, you might be a little hungry, join us for a hot dog roast (while supplies last) then snuggle down to sleep under the stars. Call 812-853-3956, email angelmoundsshs@indianamuseum.org, or use our Contact Us page to register.

Registration deadline: June 19th. Cost: $35/non-member family (up to 6 people) $30/member family (up to 6 people)

Spiders and Beetles and Ants, Oh my!

Bugs are everywhere! They can be scary or creepy but they are also fascinating creatures!

On Saturday, February 9, at 11:00 A.M., come spend an hour with the Angel Mounds staff and learn about the bugs that you can find in your own backyard!  The program is specially designed for preschool and early elementary-aged children, but everyone’s invited to join in!

Pre-registration is required.  Contact the Angel Mounds staff at (812) 853-3956 or via our contact form for more information!
