Once the staff has recovered from summer camp, the site fall special event programming starts the third week in September with our annual Native American School Days. This year’s event runs September 18th-21st. (School registration begins August 13th.)
During this week long event elementary school students are invited to visit the site to learn about the Mississippians who lived on the site as well as modern Native American tribes. Students have the opportunity to learn ancient skills such as flint knapping as well as speak to presenters from many different tribes.
