NATIVE AMERICAN SCHOOL DAYS
September 20 – 23, 2016
This event features music and dancing; hands-on activities, such as archery and crafts; and a chance to visit the recreated village in the museum. Through dynamic activities and personal encounters, students learn about Indiana’s rich history and its first peoples. Native American School Days runs 9 am – 1 pm and has a tightly scheduled station-to-station format.
An “a-maize-ing maze” or “amazing maize,” either way you look at it, the Corn Maze is a celebration of this Native American super food. Learn how agriculture shaped a civilization with a hayride tour and visit to the museum. Then head to the corn for a map-reading, team-building exercise of mythological proportions. Add a corn husk craft to your visit for only $2 more per student.
